dedicate yourself to greeting the natural world. say hello to the sky, the water, the earth. tell trees your secrets. find a secret place in the woods or forest or rocks or grassland that will be your chapel, where you can find stillness. speak — out loud — to spirits. ask for their guidance. be grateful for your secret, inner life. be kind to yourself, no matter what. shed the people & actions in your life that do not nourish your soul. cultivate wonder and imagination. when you start to become scared, or feel trapped, read a fairy tale or make tea for two, one for you, one for a ghost. tell the ghost what scares you. sit on a bench and imagine every stranger is a god. remember to take action. move outside your head. speak out loud. write things down. these are these tiny steps toward wonder. consider what fairy tales you model your life upon, and what agency/power each character is imbued with. now re-write — literally, pen & paper — the fairy tale. isn’t it time to realize your power, my dear? it is time.
